The Centre for Migration Studies (CMS-NAU), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, is a member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Migration in Nigeria. The Centre was effectively represented by the Director, Prof. Tracie C. Utoh-Ezeajugh in the
meeting of the TWG which held at the Abuja Continental Hotel from the 28th to the 29th of April, 2025. The meeting with the theme “Strengthening Fact Based and Data -Driven Migration Governance and Management in Nigeria”, considered among other things, the reviewed 2025 National Migration Policy (NMP), and the Implementation Strategies for the reviewed Policy. Following the presentation of the reviewed NMP and the proposed Implementation Strategies, the document was validated by the TWG during the two-days engagement.
Prof. Tracie C. Utoh-Ezeajugh is equally a member of the Committee that reviewed the National Migration Policy. The validated NMP will be forwarded to the federal Executive Council for ratification.
