of Ife, Jos, and Port Harcourt, all in Nigeria. Utoh-Ezeajugh holds many Post-Doctoral Fellowship Awards. She is a Bellagio Residency Rockefeller Fellow (2008) and a Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) in their African Humanities Programme (AHP) 2009/2010. She is an Assessor, Adviser and Mentor for AHP and for many other award giving bodies. She is a member of the Nigerian country team for the African Humanities Programme. She is an ASA Presidential Fellow (2015). She was awarded the Firebird Foundation for Anthropological Research Fellowship for 2018/2019, and the Endangered Materials Knowledge Programme (EMKP) Large Grant Award of the British Museum for a Documentation/Documentary Project for the period 2021-2024. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) for a Research Project that won the TETFund National Research Fund Award of 2022 titled Development of a Template for Government Policy Formulation and Action against Gender based Violence on Domestic Workers in Nigeria. She was appointed a member of the NUC National Technical Committee on Nigerian Universities Arts and Culture Festival in 2010.

She has edited some books and many Journals including Journal of African Migrations, The Creative Artist: A Journal of Theatre and Media Studies and Unizik Journal of Arts and Humanities. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Third Chapter Project based in New York. She delivered the Nnamdi Azikiwe University’s 26th Inaugural Lecture on 16th June 2015. Utoh-Ezeajugh has produced Three feature films and four documentary films. Three of the documentary films were produced for the African Humanities Programme, with funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

She is a member of the Society of Nigeria Theatre Artists (SONTA) and she served the Association in various capacities for 13 years. She served as the National Treasurer (2001-2006); 2nd National Vice President (2006-2009) and 1st National Vice President (2009-2013). She was awarded the SONTA Life Time Achievement Award in 2013 and in 2018 she was admitted into the SONTA College of Fellows as a Fellow of SONTA. She served as the Director, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Centre for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities (2011- 2014). She was  the Head, Department of Theatre and Film Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe, University, Awka (2014- 2017); the Dean, Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (2016- 2019); the Director, Centre for Arts, Culture and Humanities, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (2019-2021). She is currently the Director, Centre for Migration Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
