The International Review Preparatory Meeting and National Voluntary Review of the global compact for Migration held at Sheraton hotel, Ikeja Lagos from Monday 10th- Wednesday 13th April, 2022.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has partnered with the Nigerian Government on the national voluntary review of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM).
The national conference which is also in collaboration with other sister agencies is patterned to update all key players on the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF)’s process and frameworks and design a position paper as part of the IMRF preparations while building momentum ahead of the meeting in New York on 17th to 20th, May 2022.
The Centre for Migration Studies (CMS NAU) made critical input into the GCM based on the involvement of the Academia in implementation of the GCM and the evaluation of the Nigerian progress.
